Simple... Minimal Living

Stripping away the unnecessary so that the essential can shine...

I am in love with simple minimal style be it in clothing or interior design.  In an interior I don't like my eye to jet all over a room because there is so much going on.  I love a room that has a calm, warm feel to it, not one that makes me feel like I have consumed too much coffee.  Choose items that are art.  For example, an antique cabinet with a modern sofa, and a beautiful chandelier...  Below, I have some examples of wonderful, simple, minimal rooms that really bring out the zen in me...

Simple, neutral, and elegant...Neutral and elegant

The room above is a wonderful example of using the interior features, the bones if you will, as the art in the room.

I prefer neutrals with a worn look in my home...  this image really speaks to me...

Below is a favorite look of mine as well.  I love the white and the wood.

This would be a lovely spot on a blustery, snowy day!!!

I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I think the most important thing is to "declutter" our lives...  Go through your drawers, closets, cabinets, and purge what you do not use...  It really is a feeling of release, peace, lightness, and simplicity.  Try it.  You will never go back...

Every day is a true blessing.
